A project in practice
A new family home, designed around daily life
Building a new home for their growing family, the clients wanted technology that would make everyday living easier. They came to SEVON with an open brief and needed help deciding what would be useful.
We brought together scheduled lighting and motorised blind control, a dedicated home theatre, multi-room audio, security monitoring and a home network supporting the study and Wi-Fi throughout the house.
RTI central control connected the theatre and lighting, allowing a single button to dim the lights and turn on the projector and audiovisual system. Lighting and blind schedules followed the family’s daily routine, reducing the need for manual adjustments.
Multi-room audio let them enjoy the same music across the bedroom, bathroom and living room, continuing to listen as they moved between those spaces. Being able to check on their home while away became another feature they particularly valued—an unexpected benefit when they first began planning.
For the family, the value was in how these systems worked together: simpler theatre controls, music throughout their living spaces, and everyday routines taken care of automatically.
